Savannah, Georgia: A Week of Luxury and Fun!

I recently jetted off to Savannah, Georgia for a work trip. It was all about luxury travel, (stay tuned for amazing destination opportunities!) This was my first time in this charming town, and it's an absolute gem. After chatting with the local Savannahians and doing several site visits, I put together some helpful tips to help you plan your first (or next) trip to Savannah!

First things first, Savannah is just a quick 30-minute drive from the Savannah/Hilton Head airport, it's super convenient to get there. It's only a hop, skip, and a jump away from Hilton Head too! So, if you're in the area, don't miss the chance to swing by for a couple of days. Plus, Charleston is just a short drive away—talk about a trifecta of epic destinations!

Now, let's dive into the good stuff—what to do in Savannah? Here are some must-do’s:

  • Forsyth Park: Picture yourself strolling through this urban oasis, surrounded by lush greenery and the iconic Forsyth Fountain. It's a breath of fresh air, both literally and figuratively. I didn’t have time to visit during my trip, but locals said it was a MUST do.

  • Savannah Riverfront and River Stroll: Take a leisurely walk along the riverfront and soak up the city's maritime history. You'll find an incredible mix of vibrant atmosphere, scrumptious food, and charming boutiques. Really great to walk along at sunset!

  • Tours: Take a tour to explore Savannah - ranging from their ghost tours, trolley tours, riverboat cruises, you name it! I am too afraid to take ghost tours as I’m scared the ghosts will follow me home, lol.

For the foodies:

  • Leopold's Ice Cream: This is a must-must if you like ice cream.

  • The  Grey: Get ready to dine in an old Greyhound station! This place serves up innovative dishes that will make your taste buds dance with joy.

  • Cotton and Rye: How about dining in an old bank? Cotton and Rye takes southern comfort food to the next level with a modern twist.

  • Collins Quarters: Brunch lovers, rejoice! This spot will satisfy your cravings with delicious options and superb coffee.

  • Common Thread: Prepare to embark on a global culinary adventure. Common Thread brings together flavors from around the world, creating a delightful fusion.
